Amy Winehouse's cause of death has been a mystery since her sudden passing back in July, but today a coroner revealed Amy died from drinking too much alcohol.

Coroner Suzzanne Greenaway says the Back To Black singer's cause of death is "death by misadventure," saying Amy voluntarily drank alcohol and risked the consequences, even though initial tests showed no traces of illegal drugs in her system.

A pathologist, Suhail Baithun, reports Amy consumed a "very large quantity of alcohol" before she died.

According to blood and urine samples, Amy was 4.5 times over the legal drunk driving limit at the time of her death.
