U.S. Representative and Democratic activist Barney Frank finally married longtime boyfriend, carpenter/welder James Ready, seven years after they first met! The ceremony took place on the bank of Charles River in Boston, MA and was very low key, according to The New York Times.

Same-sex marriage has been legal in Massachusetts for eight years, which makes it amazing that Frank is still somehow only the first member of Congress to marry his same-sex partner.
