Former Roc-A-Fella rapper Beanie Sigel was arrested after a traffic stop on I-95 last night. When Beans was pulled over, troopers found weapons, prescription pills and a small amount of weed in his vehicle.

As reported by ABC Philly:

It was around 3:15 a.m. when Pennsylvania State Troopers noticed a tan Ford Fusion following another vehicle too closely and swerving out of its lane of travel.

The Troopers pulled the Ford over and approached the vehicle. The driver, identified as Gerald Andrews of Philadelphia, was order out of the vehicle and a check for weapons revealed several prescription bottles and a small amount of marijuana.

Troopers then focused their attention to the passenger, identified as Dwight E Grant, also known as famous Philadelphia rapper “Beanie Sigel.” Police searched Grant and found approximately $4,650 cash, a bottle of codeine syrup with a scratched off label, and several prescription pills wrapped in plastic bags located in a cigarette pack.

Both men were detained, and during a search of the vehicle Troopers found a firearm located in the center console. Andrews and Grant are both convicted felons and not allowed to possess a firearm.

Andrews and Grant were transported to Pennsylvania State Police barracks in Media to be processed and arraigned.

Beanie was due to report to prison on September 12, 2012 after being sentenced on tax evasion charges last month. He was also ordered to pay all taxes, penalties, and interest on the back taxes, but to date, he has allegedly failed to do so.

Beans’ new album, This Time is out now.
