The first incident occurred around 7 a.m. in Humboldt Park, where a 25-year-old man was found shot in the chest. David Kartzmark died before reaching the hospital. Police have no suspects in custody.

Around 3:10 p.m. on Saturday, a man was found shot multiple times in the abdomen in the West Englewood neighborhood, DNAinfo Chicago reports. Police are reporting that the individual, who has not been identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's office, was shot 15 times. They do, however, have a "possible offender" in custody.

Later that evening, police responded to a South Chicago home where they found a 55-year-old woman stabbed to death. The Sun-Times reports that Angela Welch was stabbed multiple times by her 25-year-old daughter during a domestic dispute.

Ten others were injured by gunfire that same day. In the early hours of Sunday, a 22-year-old man was killed in an expressway shooting, marking the 10th homicide in Chicago this year. Last year, Chicago homicide numbers reached over 500.
