Republican Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney made waves during Saturday night’s GOP debate when he proposed a $10,000 bet!

Mitt upped the ante with fellow candidate Texas Governor Rick Perry over accusations that Romney changed and omitted parts of his book, No Apology.

Romney has been facing a multitude of backlash and many are saying that he is completely out of touch for making such an extravagant and flippant bet, as millions of Americans struggle to make ends meet in a troubled economy.

Romney made his millions at Bain Capital, a venture capital firm and has spent upwards of more than $45 million of his own money on his campaign. Romney has an estimated worth of about $200 million.

$10,000 would be considered chump change for Romney and Perry; both millionaire Presidential hopefuls would find that rummaging through their sofas in no time.

But a bet on whether his book was factual or not isn’t a grand wager, if Romney really wants to throw down some money he should have made wagers that were worthwhile.
