Of course many are going to rush to defend George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch captain who shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Marin inside a Sanford, FL gated community, but when will he come out and defend himself?

In the last 48 hours, we’ve heard from his father, Robert Zimmerman Sr., and brother, Robert Zimmerman Jr., both who’ve come to his aid even though Zimmerman’s lawyers disclosed that Robert and George haven’t spoken in years.

Either way, both have disclosed information that doesn’t help Zimmerman in any way, which is good because it only makes Trayvon’s case stronger. It only gets us that much closer to justice for Trayvon.

So by all means, keep talking.

The video released of Zimmerman entering the Sanford Police station only proves that he wasn’t assaulted by Trayvon, which he previously claimed in a statement he told police on the night of the shooting.

Now many (Fox News), are starting to question whether or not Zimmerman is being unfairly treated. For instance, Bill O’Reilly said on the O’Reilly Factor this Thursday:

“When it comes to the pundits, I’m angry about the rush to judgment. Adding there’s no reason Oprah Winfrey and other celebrities should be demanding an arrest prior to the probe’s finish.”

The fact of the matter is, celebrities aren’t rushing to prosecute Zimmerman, his family and the evidence presented has already done that.

Zimmerman’s statement to Sanford Police and the video alone prove that Trayvon didn’t assault him like he previously claimed. Furthermore, his father attacking President Obama for commenting on the case only makes Zimmerman look worse.

Zimmerman’s father slammed President Obama and civil rights leaders for spewing “hate.”

Zimmerman Sr. said that groups like the Congressional Black Caucus and the NAACP are just “trying to get notoriety or profit from this in some way.” He called on Obama to go “beyond the hate.”

The President didn’t do anything wrong but answer a question about Trayvon. The President said was it is a tragic situation, if he had a son he’d look like Trayvon and he was pleased that the justice department was conducting an investigation – all viable assessments.

The problem is, Zimmerman’s family, his lawyers, friends and former co-workers are coming forward with stories that don’t help his case, which is why Zimmerman has to come forward and speak for himself.

Zimmerman has the right to remain silent and he has; his family and friends on the other hand have not.
