It’s been less than a day since Amanda Berry, Gina Dejesus and Michelle Knight were rescued after ten years of captivity in the home of Ariel Castro, and already some gruesome details of what the girls were forced to deal with during their kidnapping have come to light.

Among the disturbing details are reports of sex, beatings and miscarriages.

The women, who were found safe last night on Seymour Avenue, were forced to have sex with their captors, resulting in up to five pregnancies, several police sources tell Channel 3 News.

According to the source, one of the victims had two to three miscarriages in the Seymour Avenue because she was malnourished.

Another police source who is actively working on this investigation told NewsChannel5 at least five babies were born inside the home. It’s not clear if that number includes Berry’s 6-year-old daughter who was found in the house with the women.

One of those sources tells investigator Tom Meyer that the captors would beat the pregnant girls. Both sources say the babies didn’t survive. The sources say it is unclear what happened following the pregnancies.

Investigators are going through the home for clues, including the backyard where they found “disturbed” dirt.
