The world is accustomed to seeing heavyweight champ Floyd Mayweather Jr. shirtless, boasting around a Vegas ring flashing money, but for the next 90 days, there will be none of that. The Money Team’s Captain will be on lock down.

STORY: Floyd Mayweather Heads To Jail

Mayweather turned him self in to a Vegas jail to begin a 90-day prison stint for domestic violence.

50 Cent was on hand to deliver his Money Team member and friend to his surrender and they both looked sullen with heads hung low.

50 Cent commented on the situation saying:

“He’ll be all right.  It’s an uncomfortable situation for everyone. Everyone has a different version of the same story. It’s no different than anyone going through a divorce and how your friends can become your vested enemies.”

The time is stemming from an incident back in 2010, during which Floyd beat up the mother of his children in front of their children.

According to TMZ, while in jail, Floyd will be kept in protective custody, which means he will be kept from the general inmate population, even though he would probably be able to hold his own if it came to it.
Floyd’s cell is 7′ x 14′ and contains a bed, toilet, sink and small desk. He also gets a window.

No lap of luxury for the Money Team captain!
