Welcome ladies and gentlemen. This is the story of Juror B-37 in the George Zimmerman Trial.

The animal lover with the attorney husband was a colorful character from the beginning of the trial’s jury selection process. During pretrial publicity questioning, she told attorneys that she considered the protests after Trayvon Martin‘s murder riots, and she referred to the teenager as a boy of color.

If that wasn’t problematic enough, Juror B-37 made trial and immediately inked a book deal (which was dropped) after the verdict was read. And less than 48 hours after Zimmerman’s acquittal, Juror B-37 appeared on Anderson Cooper to tell the world that Trayvon was responsible for his own death, she wouldn’t mind Zimmerman being on her neighborhood watch program, and she considered Florida’s controversial “Stand Your Ground” law while coming to her “not guilty” verdict, although the defense didn’t present it in trial.

Oh. And that she felt sorry for Zimmerman. Among other things.

But four of the jurors weren’t having it. They were not about to be associated with such foolishness. They simply ain’t got time for B-37.

So, they released a statement to let the world know. And here it is…

We, the undersigned jurors, understand that there is a great deal of interest in this case.

But we ask that you remember we are not public officials…

…and we did not invite this type of attention into our lives.

We also wish to point out that the opinions of Juror B-37, expressed on the Anderson Cooper show were her own…

and not in any way representative of the jurors listed below.

We appeal to the highest standards of your profession and ask the media to respect our privacy and give us time to process what we have been through.

Thank you,

And just a reminder, the views expressed above in gifs are not of the jurors and are mine alone.

Well. Maybe.
