The next bond hearing for George Zimmerman won't happen at least for another couple of weeks, as Judge Kenneth Lester has a "planned absence," a court spokeswoman said earlier yesterday.

Now, Zimmerman’s legal defense fund confirmed that they will delay filing a motion for bond, revealed through their website gzlegalcase.com:

Mr. Zimmerman's legal defense team has decided to delay filing a motion for bond. A hearing will not be scheduled for a couple of weeks, and we will file the motion well in advance of the hearing.

Zimmerman is back behind bars after prosecutors proved that his wife, Shelly, lied about the amount of money Zimmerman had received while in jail a few weeks ago.

For now, Zimmerman will remain incarcerated; he is currently residing in a 9-foot by 7-foot isolation cell in the Seminole County jail.
