Tomorrow, all eyes will be on the first debate between President Barack Obama and his opponent Mitt Romney. This is the last opportunity for the Republican candidate to wipe the slate clean and transform his image.

This will not be the same circus as the Republican Presidential debates Romney had to paddle through for the better part of 2012. You won’t hear idiotic economic 9-9-9 plans from alleged sexual harassers, Texas Governors forgetting the three agencies he’ll dismantle if elected, or someone screaming about food stamp presidents.

This is Romney’s last chance to redefine his image in the eyes of the American public. Romney needs to go hard or go home when he faces off with Obama tomorrow night in Denver. Mitt needs to let it all hang out and become a real person – instead of a manufactured Republican drone.

Obama has separated himself from Romney this election by tagging him as the out-of-touch rich guy who doesn’t care about poor Americans; so tomorrow’s debate is Romney’s last opportunity to disassociate himself from the pitchfork mob of the Tea Party-run Republicans, and show America that he isn’t the guy portrayed on TV.

Now I’m not saying that Romney should flip-flop or surrender all of his convictions, but loosen up your tie a bit and relax, man!

Show that you have your hand on the pulse of at least some of the issues American people care about.

For instance, the debate will be held at the University of Denver and if you’re not aware, Denver has a highly active medical marijuana industry. When previously asked to weigh-in on the issue, Romney responded:

“I oppose marijuana being used for recreational purposes and I believe the federal law should prohibit the recreational use of marijuana.”

And there’s the problem with Romney, in 2012 you’re totally against marijuana, even in the use of medicine?

A Romney spokesperson later reiterated:

“Governor Romney has a long record of opposing the use of marijuana for any reason…He opposes legalizing drugs, including marijuana for medicinal purposes. He will fully enforce the nation’s drug laws, and he will oppose any attempts at legalization.”

Oh Mitt, please switch up your game plan when you go against the President tomorrow night, or you’ll be a first place loser come November 6th.

The debate will focus on domestic policy and if you’ve watched Mitt Romney this election, as compared to Obama, you can drive a Mack Truck through the widening gap of divisive issues in this country.

What Romney needs to do is shrink that gap just a little bit to show that he isn’t that different from Obama, which will force the American people into making a difficult choice this November.

In many polls, the choice is clear when it comes to domestic issues like abortion and women’s rights. More women are on Obama’s side than Romney’s and it’s because of his stance on their issues and their bodies.

If a question comes up about abortion or women’s health, don’t be vague and circle around the issue, answer it with conviction, take a stance that you truly believe in.

If Romney resorts to spouting off Republican-approved platitudes, he will surely lose; not only the debate, but the entire election.
