UPDATE: 3/28/13 9:00AM EST

After turning himself in on Tuesday in connection with an alleged assault at an Atlanta nightclub, Gucci Mane was denied bond in his first court appearance on Wednesday afternoon and ordered to remain in jail for at least two weeks.

His next court date will be April 10.

——

Gucci Mane turned himself in to Atlanta police just after midnight, according to WSB-TV’s Amy Napier Viteri.

Viteri has also further suggested that Gucci is currently in police custody and will be booked into the Fulton County Jail.

The ATL rapper was initially wanted on aggravated assault charges after a veteran accused him of striking him with a champagne bottle in a case of an autograph request gone terribly wrong in a nightclub. And, since then, another fan claims to have been assaulted by Gucci.

Check out the tweets from last night’s events:

The police have yet to issue an official statement on the matter.

And, for shits and giggles, check out Gucci’s mugshot Hall of Shame (there’s 10 in all,) now that takes skill.
