Hurricane Irene is causing tens of thousands of East Coast residents to flee their homes, as they are in the path of the most powerful storm in recent years.
A total of 65 million people are currently in the path of the storm and North Carolina is the first state to feel the impact.
Heightened waves, between 6ft and 9ft, have already hit the coastlines and the storm, with winds of 115mph, would be the strongest to strike the East Coast in seven years. People are already getting out of the way!
It will be a crazy wet weekend for many Americans living on the eastern coastline.
