The time of year has arrived when it becomes your civic duty as Americans to participate in one of our oldest traditions: voting.
In 2008, we had record numbers in voter turnout, but it’s time to break that record. And to do it, we want everyone to get registered to vote.
Which brings us to OurTime.org, a non-partisan, non-profit, youth empowerment organization with more than 400,000 members that is currently registering Americans to vote.
Through their efforts, OurTime.org's goal is to combine the voting and purchasing power of young people so that politicians and businesses better represent their needs.
Their co-founder and President, Matthew Segal, has been a prominent young voice on behalf of his generation on Capitol Hill, spreading the word on OurTime.org’s initiatives and plans for the future.
Young stars such as Hollywood actress Jessica Alba and singer Usher Raymond have lent their voices to the movement, as well as many other young people.
