Following the shootings in Aurora, it looks like James Holmes past is not the only one on the chopping block.

Much mystery was surrounding the University of Colorado Psychiatrist, Dr. Lynn Fenton, who was seeing Holmes as a patient prior to the shooting.

According to new reports, Dr. Fenton faced some disciplinary troubles of her own prior to treating Holmes at the University.

DETAILS: WTH?! James Holmes Claiming To Have Amnesia While In Jail

According to the Los Angeles Times:

State records show Fenton was reprimanded by the Colorado Board of Medical Examiners, received a letter of admonition and was required to take a documentation course. Records detailing the discipline were not immediately available Saturday. Neither Fenton nor Colorado medical board staff could be reached for comment Saturday.

A University of Colorado spokeswoman said she could not comment on personnel matters, but noted that the discipline would have predated Fenton’s tenure at the university. Fenton completed a residency in psychiatry at the university in 2008 before becoming an assistant professor and medical director of the student mental health service at the university’s Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora.

Holmes mailed Dr. Fenton a notebook in the days prior to the shooting detailing exactly how he would carry out the crimes that would later kill 12 and wound 58.

The notebook was discovered unopened in the University’s mailroom after the shootings.
