A funeral is planned this Friday for Kile Glover, 11, three weeks after a jet ski accident left the young man brain dead.
According to the AJC, the service for Glover will be held at 11 a.m. at the Wieuca Road Baptist Church in Atlanta.
On July 6, Glover and a 15-year-old friend were riding on an inner tube pulled by a pontoon boat on Lake Lanier in Georgia when a family friend riding a jet ski slammed into the inner tube, striking Glover in the head and knocking him unconscious.
Kile was later declared brain dead, while his friend was released from the hospital after suffering a cut in the head and a broken arm.
On July 21st, Glover died of heart failure after being taken off life support.
The family friend, identified as 38-year-old Jeffrey Hubbard, could face criminal charges, although the Georgia Department of Natural Resources said it was still investigating the case and a recommendation could be made to the district attorney.
