Just hours before he's scheduled to sit down with Oprah Winfrey to make a limited confession about the doping allegations that lost him his seven Tour de France titles, Lance Armstrong apologized to the staff at his Livestrong Cancer Foundation.
The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the discussion was private, said that Armstrong choked up while telling the staff, "I'm sorry."
According to The Associated Press:
The person also said Armstrong apologized for letting the staff down and putting Livestrong at risk but he did not make a direct confession to the group about using banned drugs. He said he would try to restore the foundation's reputation, and urged the group to continue fighting for the charity's mission of helping cancer patients and their families.
Right after the meeting, Armstrong and his legal team gathered at a downtown location in Austin to begin his interview with the media mogul. It is scheduled to air on Thursday.
Damn! Do you think Armstrong is going to straight up say he lied about the doping charges? Or does a "limited" confession mean something else?
