Another outbreak of tornadoes in Oklahoma this afternoon leveled two elementary schools and started on tornadic fire in its aftermath. The tornado, which some meteorologist are calling the “biggest destruction from a storm in the history of the world” was about a mile and a half wide.

It isn’t immediately known if any students were injured during the devestation of Plaza Towers Elementary and Briarwood Elementary School, but one of the school’s gymnasiums was cut in half by the storm. There is also a gas leak in one of the school buildings.

All Oklahoma City schools are releasing students to their parents at this time.

At least 28 tornadoes, some a half of a mile wide, broke out across five states this weekend, killing two and injuring dozens. In Kansas and Oklahoma the tornadoes hit the hardest, tearing apart dozens of homes, roads, and power lines.

Sixteen counties have been reported as disaster areas.

We pray for those in the path of this violent tornado. If you are anywhere in Oklahoma, Kansas, Georgia or Minnesota, you should make all proper preparations for a tornado, as the storms are still traveling across the state.
