Christmas is already on it's way!
The White House just got a little bit more jolly this week, as Michelle Obama, Malia, and Sasha, along with their dog Bo, all went to go pick up the White House Christmas tree!
The girls were all dressed to impress as they went to go see the grand, 19 feet tall tree that would fill up the president's home for this holiday season.
When the tree arrived all the way from North Carolina, Michelle gave a thumbs up and said:
I think we'll take it! We can have Christmas now.
Even though they're under a strict schedule by their FLOTUS, Malia and Sasha looked so excited to be involved in getting the tree that their presents would be put under.
The holiday cheer didn't end there! Dad a.k.a President Barack Obama was recently spotted with his girls Christmas shopping at One More Page Books in Arlington, VA.
The brief trip was part of the Presiden'ts efforts to encourage Americans to frequent neighborhood businesses as an alternative to Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales by national chains and corporations.
In a statement Friday, POTUS said:
"From the mom-and-pop storefront shops that anchor Main Street to the high-tech startups that keep America on the cutting edge, small businesses are the backbone of our economy and the cornerstones of our nation’s promise,"
"These businesses create two out of every three new jobs in America, helping spur economic development in communities across our country and giving millions of families and individuals the opportunity to achieve the American dream," he added. "Through events such as Small Business Saturday, we keep our local economies strong and help maintain an American economy that can compete and win in the 21st century."
The president and his girls stayed in book store a little over 30 minutes and purchased 15 books, all of which he knew ahead of time, arriving at the store with a list from his Blackberry.
It's sure to be a beautiful holiday in Washington D.C!
