Protesters have been staging demonstrations to show their opposition to the fast-food chain after the company stood firm on their stance on same-sex marriage.

Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy told the Baptist Press last month that the Atlanta-based company was “guilty as charged” for backing “the biblical definition of a family.” Gay rights groups and others answered with calls for boycotts of the tasty chicken joint.

Opponents of Cathy’s stance have planned “Kiss Mor Chiks” for Friday, asking people of the same-sex to show up at Chick-fil-A locations and kiss each other.

As for Huckabee’s “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day,” thousands came out in support of the fast food chain, at the same time as opponents picketed and protested outside of the establishment.

Huckabee also got support from former Republican Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, as she took a picture with her husband at a local Chick-fil-A.
