UPDATE: 10:00am EST
Upon being named the Vice Presidential candidate, Ryan told the crowd aboard the USS Wisconsin that-
"I am deeply excited and honored to join you as your running mate…Mitt Romney is a leader with the skills, the background and the character that our country needs at a crucial time in its history.
Following four years of failed leadership, the hopes of our country, which have inspired the world, are growing dim; and they need someone to revive them. Governor Romney is the man for this moment; and he and I share one commitment: we will restore the dreams and greatness of this country.”
Ryan continued, saying-
“My record of getting things done in Congress will be a very helpful complement to Gov Romney’s executive & private sector success...I represent a part of America that includes inner cities, rural areas, suburbs and factory towns.”
As for his thoughts on the current administration, Ryan said-
“We can't afford four more years of this! It is our duty to save the American dream for our children and theirs…America is more than just a place though, America is an idea. It’s the only country founded on an idea.”
It's shaping up to be a big fight this election, let the games begin!

"Money" Mitt Romney has chosen Tea-Party king-maker, Paul Ryan as his vice-president candidate, according to our good friends at Fox News.
The money-man will make the announcement tomorrow at 9:00AM in Norfolk, VA aboard the USS Wisconsin.
As reported by the Associated Press:
Romney made his announcement to supporters via a phone app. "Mitt's Choice for VP is Paul Ryan," it said and implored backers to spread the word.
The ticket-mates arranged their first joint appearance later in the morning at a naval museum, the initial stop of a bus tour through four battleground states in as many days.
In a written statement issued a short while later, Romney's campaign said that Ryan had worked in Congress to "eliminate the federal deficit, reform the tax code and preserve entitlements for future generations."
In a statement issued Friday night, Romney's campaign said only that the running mate would be present at 9 a.m. EDT at the Nauticus Museum. The USS Wisconsin is berthed there - offering a hint about Ryan's selection.
Congressman Paul Ryan is a sitting Congressman from Wisconsin and now we got a race, folks!
