Newborn baby Jasleen only just entered the world – and she is already a record-breaker.

Last week, Jasleen was born in Leipzig, Germany and was reported to weigh 13.47 lbs and be 22.6 inches long, making her the biggest baby to ever be born in Germany.

According to NY Daily News:

The mother had a previously undiagnosed case of gestational diabetes, doctors discovered. The condition usually develops around the 24th week of pregnancy and can lead to larger-than-average newborn size.

The mother, surprisingly, also delivered her bundle of joy vaginally. Jasleen remains in the neonatal care unit, but should be released soon.

Even though she’s going down in German history, Jasleen still has nothing on American babies.

Two weeks ago, Addyson Gale Cessa was born in Pittsburgh and weighed 13.75 lbs. But in Indonesia, a baby was reported to be born weighing 19.2 lbs.

Nonetheless, Jasleen and her mother are said to be healthy, which is the most important thing!
