March 26th, Joe Oliver, a close friend of George Zimmerman, says that Zimmerman was "very, very sorry" and if he could, he would apologize to Trayvon’s family.

As we continue to see the Trayvon Martin ordeal progress, the many layers of the controversial case have begun to unravel.

The shooting death of Trayvon has sparked a social justice movement in America like we’ve never seen before - especially with the advent of the social media age.

First there was the initial story about a young black kid getting killed while walking home from a 7-Eleven by neighborhood watch Captain George Zimmerman, 28, in Sanford, Fl.

But the scope of the case took the turn we are experiencing now when the Sanford police released Zimmerman immediately after the shooting because he told police he acted in self defense.

That was the moment the uproar surrounding Trayvon’s case began to brew.

Now that Trayvon’s case has hit the mainstream, we're starting to see the pieces take shape as more information surfaces.

At first the story goes that Zimmerman shot Trayvon and claimed self-defense, but then as the rallies and marches began to pop up, so has an odd defense of Zimmerman; he has become the victim.

Two days ago we saw Zimmerman’s account of the night of the shooting, which implies that Trayvon was the aggressor.

Now we are seeing Zimmerman’s friend, Joe Oliver, defending him on every television interview, telling the world that Zimmerman wants to apologize to Trayvon’s family and that he cried on the night of the shooting.

There has been a shift in the case where the victim has become the culprit. But let's not get blinded by the reports of a "heroic" Zimmerman, instead remember the young man who is no longer with us.
