In a move sure to lighten the heavy hearts of those grieving the death of Jovan Belcher and Kasandra Perkins, the NFL announced yesterday that they will support the late couple’s 3-month-old daughter, Zoey.

DETAILS: Jovan Belcher 911 Call Released

In a collective bargaining agreement that was signed last year, Zoey’s guardian or her estate will receive more than $1 million over a span of years. She stands to receive $108,000 a year until age four, $48,000 at age five, then $52,000 a year until she is 18 or 23, depending on if she goes to college.

In addition, the beneficiary of Belcher will receive $600,000 in life insurance and $200,000 for each credited season. A $100,000 retirement account will also go towards his estate.

DETAILS: Jovan Belcher’s Mother Breaks Her Silence

We’re sure the money won’t help baby Belcher comprehend the death of both of her parents, and while Belcher’s mother, Cheryl Shepard, said Wednesday that Zoey is doing “fine,” we are still keeping her in our prayers.
