Dad shoots daughter's laptop due to FB post
In February of 2012, a North Carolina father, Tommy Gordon, shot his daughter’s laptop after she badmouthed him and her mother on Facebook.
The daughter basically went on a rant about how she should not be forced to do chores, unless she was being paid.
She went out to further publicly talk trash about her parents and thought she cleverly disguised it in privacy settings.
However; her father is an IT worker and pretty tech savvy and was able to infiltrate her Facebook.
The father then shot her laptop, destroying it. He went on to not get into trouble by Child Protective Services or Police. In fact, an officer allegedly posted “Kudos, sir” onto the father’s Facebook.
Parental issues involving Facebook as shown above can be caused mutually, or from either side.
It does not matter if these issues are a result from children’s disrespect, parents being unaware of what’s cool or not, or whatever. It is just important to know that it is all really embarrassing.
So respect your parents, respect your kids, don’t publicly humiliate one another, or don’t be “friends.”
