The Combating Terrorism Center released the “Letters from Abbottabad: Bin Ladin Sidelined?” a study of 17 de-classified documents which paint a picture of Bin Laden as a man who had grown increasingly worried he could not get control of the many al-Qaeda sects that had sprung up across the globe.
However, Bin Laden still had grand ambitions for al-Qaeda and wanted pull off another major terror attack in the United States.
Bin Laden’s children, his disdain for Fox News and Roger Ailes, and his attempted assassination of President Obama were all revealed in the center's 62-page report.
