Remember Terry Jones, the controversial Gainesville, Florida pastor who wanted to burn 1,000 copies of the Quran in 2010 on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks?

Well he’s back and this time coming to the defense of George Zimmerman, the man who shot and killed Trayvon Martin inside a Sanford, FL gated community.

STORY: Michelle Obama Speaks On Trayvon Martin

Jones and his Stand Up America! organization plans to hold a rally in Sanford on Saturday in support of Zimmerman called “JUSTICE FOR ZIMMERMAN vs. RACIST LYNCH MOB.”

Jones’ Dove World Outreach Center confirmed that he will come to Sanford this weekend to speak “in support of the Constitutional Rights for George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin.”

Jones had previously announced his support for Zimmerman, who remains jailed in Seminole County on a second-degree murder charge in the shooting of Trayvon.

The rally is expected to begin at 1 p.m. outside the Seminole County Criminal Justice Center on Bush Boulevard. Jones is expected to attend and speak, his church confirmed.
