An NYPD officer has been indicted on manslaughter charges in the shooting death of unarmed Ramarley Graham, an 18-year-old student killed in his Bronx home back in February.

According to NBC News, Officer Richard Haste is being charged with first-degree manslaughter and is expected to turn himself in on Wednesday.

On February 2nd, security video showed Ramarley entering his home while police were chasing him.

Cops followed Ramarley as he dashed toward his second-floor apartment on E. 229th St. Once inside, Graham darted toward the bathroom with two cops behind him.

The teen tussled with a cop before the officer’s gun, a Sig Sauer .9-mm, went off and a bullet pierced Graham in the upper left chest.

At the time, police said officers witnessed a drug deal and pursued Ramarley believing he had a gun; they went in and found him in the second-floor bathroom, and ended up shooting him in the chest. He died shortly afterward.

It was revealed later that Ramarley had no gun and the officers involved were stripped of their guns and assigned to desk duty.

It’s been four months, but finally justice has been served. Hopefully the officer will be tried to the fullest extent of the law.
