Jena Dolstad, 14, was injected with heroin last Friday and died yesterday after a week in critical condition.

According to the Associated Press, 26-year-old Sean Warner had the teenager lie down on his bed where he used a belt to find a vein in which he shot up to 25 units of heroin in.

The incident took place after Sean and two other friends picked up the girl to hang out at his home. The men shared drugs amongst one another and Jena reported that she told Sean she was willing to "try something new" but was not content with taking a shot of heroin.

The men left Jena face down in vomit over night and did not call police until she began to convulse. 

Police recovered evidence of paraphernalia and syringes in a nearby garbage in the area.

Doctors found  heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine in Jena's system with signficant damage to her heart and brain.

Sean will be charged with delivering a controlled substance to a minor at least three years younger, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, evidence tampering, and manslaughter.
