Another campus shooting.

On Tuesday, Anthony Darnell Liddell was shot and killed at a residence hall named University Place near Coastal Carolina University. Liddell was a 19-year-old sophomore at the school.

The University was immediately put on lock-down once the incident was reported and students were informed by text messages and email. 

Unfortunately, the gunman has not yet been found. School official Martha Hunn said that the incident was reported around 7:20 pm and that the gunman was able to flee the scene in a vehicle.

The State Law Enforcement Division is investigating the situation. 

Kaitlin Eriksen, a student at the University, reported hearing four or five gunshots and then running to her balcony to see the victim collapse.

“He took about two steps back and then collapsed. He just fell out there,” Eriksen said.

Classes at Coastal Carolina have resumed today after the threat-level was secured.
