Brandon Jacobs has recently been cut from the NY Giants and signed to the San Fransico 49ers, which was not only upsetting to him and New York fans, but to a 6-year-old named Joseph Armento.
Heartbroken about the trade, the little guy sent a letter to the NFL star with the contents of his own piggy bank money, which totaled up to $3.36 in order to get him back to NY to play for the Giants once again.
His mother took the letter, translated it, and then sent it to Brandon, hoping it would inspire him, and it looks like it worked!
The mother explained:
When he asked me why you were going to SF I explained that the Giants did not have enough money to keep you," Joseph's mother, Julie, wrote to Jacobs. "Joseph is just learning to read/write so I will help you by translating his letter.
The letter reads:
Dear Brandon Jacobs, So you could go to the Giants, here is my money. Love, Joe.
Brandon receieved the letter and was so touched that he tweeted about it:
It looks like Joe is a true inspiration and a lucky kid at just 6-years-old!
