Yesterday was an intense day in the trial of George Zimmerman vs. The State Of Florida in the death of Trayvon Martinand it was almost the word of mother versus mother as both Sybrina Fulton and Gladys Zimmerman took the stand.

First, the grieving mom of the 17-year-old, laid claim to the screams captured on a 911 call on the night her son was killed by Zimmerman.
When prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda asked, Sybrina Fulton, “Who do you recognize that to be?,” she strongly replied:

“Trayvon Benjamin Martin,”

“And in your mind, as his mother, there was no doubt it was him screaming, correct?” Defense attorney, O’Mara asked and she replied:

“Absolutely, I heard my son screaming.”

On the other spectrum, Zimmerman’s mother, Gladys, took the stand about eight hours later.

O’Mara played the tape again and asked Gladys Zimmerman who was screaming and she simply stated:

“My son,”

The dueling testimony book-ended a busy day in the Zimmerman trial during which the judge denied the defense’s request to end the courtroom drama by acquitting the neighborhood watchman of second-degree murder.
