Ted Nugent, famous country singer and National Rifle Association board member, recently expressed his concern for the state of the African American community in his column for WorldNet Daily.
In this article, Nugent expresses his belief that the Democratic Party is holding the African American community back.

Fortunately, some are beginning to embrace this self-evident truth. The truth will set those black Americans free who want to be free, who want to be the best they can be, who want to leave their grandchildren a better, stronger America.”

Nugent lists low graduation rates, high crime rates, increasing numbers of single-parent households, and the high unemployment rate as several key problems affecting African Americans that are being caused by the Democratic Party.
Although he is well known for opposing President Obama, Nugent notes that the African American community is rich and vibrant.
