A teacher at a school in Texas put her job on the line when she asked 20 of her Kindergarten class’ students to line up and hit one student that was accused of being a bully.

Fox San Antonio reports that a district spokesman revealed that a colleague went to the teacher last month and told her of the child’s bullying behaviors, which is when she decided to take matters into her own hands.

The spokesman also revealed that the teacher is being placed on administrative leave but would not work for the district next school year.

The mother of the 6-year-old who was attacked told KENS-TV:

“Twenty-four of those kids hit him and he said that most of them hit him twice.”

She also said that her son does not normally have behavioral problems, and that she does not want the teacher to work again:

“She doesn’t need to be around any children. I just don’t think they are taking it seriously, even though they said they are I still don’t think they are taking it seriously.”

The police report states that some of the classmates didn’t want to hit the boy, but were afraid not to.

Whether the student was a bully or not, discipline should not be handled with more violence. We hope that this case can be worked out properly soon!
