It’s been almost a year since the murder of Trayvon Martin shocked the U.S, and no one has forgotten it.
Family of the 17-year-old teen gathered amongst supporters yesterday in Miami for a Day of Rememberance, and participated in a Peace Walk in honor of what would have been his 18th birthday and lso comes about two weeks before the anniversary of his death.

Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin were both in attendance to encourage justice for their son, since his murderer is still on trial in court.
Even Jamie Foxx came out to the Peace Walk to show his love to the family, as well as the cause that brought the country into an uproar this past year.

While George Zimmerman isn’t behind bars just yet, bringing awareness to this cause can only help move things forward to bring justice for Trayvon.
A memorial dinner is also planned for Sunday in Miami, with proceeds going to support the Trayvon Martin Foundation, which was established by his parents. It will feature speakers including Rev. Al Sharpton, Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. and Dr. Jamal-Harrison Bryant.
