Since the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin on Feb. 26th at the hands of neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman, the internet has exploded with blogs and discussions about race, gun laws, racial profiling, “suspicious persons,” black youths and numerous other issues people have been voicing their opinions about.

The thing is, Trayvon was a student of hip-hop; he was like every other 17-year-old who loved everything from basketball to Tupac – in fact he was watching the All-Star game the day he was killed.

Sifting through all the controversy, we forget that we lost one of our own; Trayvon was one of us and his Facebook page displayed that.
