Last night Huffington Post and AOL honored the people in the game who are changing the way we look at the world. The third annual event Game Changers Awards celebrated 100 innovators, visionaries and all around cultural mavericks.
As Jessica White slipped on an LBD and pulled purple fur over her shoulders, she knew she wasn’t prepping for just any event, she was going to commemorate those who changed the game to make her career possible, notably the 1973 Models of Versailles.
Gayle King presented a style award to the 1973 Models of Versailles, who are notable for walking in The Battle of Versailles, a landmark fashion show that broke racial barriers and showcased American designers such as Oscar de la Renta, Halston, Anne Klein, Bill Blass, Stephen Burrows.
The former models, including Pat Cleveland and Bethann Hardison, whom have aged gracefully, took to the stage to accept their award as a group. Truly a notable moment in fashion history!
The event, held at the Skylight Studio in SoHo, NYC, brought out a blended crowd of influential beings including the likes of Kim Kardashian, Irina Pantaeva, Bai Ling, Dr. Oz and Robert Kennedy J.R.
