Rihanna decided to give up her "Thug Life" for a little bit and invest in something a bit girlier than her past indulgences.
The "We Found Love" singer recently took her love for Marilyn Monroe to a whole new level when she commissioned a $160,000 portrait of Marilyn to be made completely out of crystals!
British artist Claire Milner created the giant piece, which took four months to complete and weighs 182 pounds, reports Britain’s The Sun.
Milner tells the tabloid: “I tried to show the glitter of the public life and then the sadness in Marilyn’s eyes. Because of who Rihanna is, everything had to be done through her interior decorators. But they told me afterwards that she loved it."
She goes on to say "A 100 percent Swarovski crystal portrait is very luxurious – people stand and stare because it constantly changes color, sending rainbows round the room.”
The portrait was reportedly shipped to L.A. to decorate RiRi's home. You can take a look at a few of close ups of the portrait, as well as some shots from the production process in the gallery above.
