A$AP Rocky exploded on to the underground scene when he took over the dot com with a mixtape that even the biggest A&R couldn't refrain from bumpin' to.

Soon after proving his lyrical skills, the Harlem native proved that his knowledge didn’t stop at bars, but also transcended to brands, and that is exactly what landed A$AP Rocky in the January issue of Interview Magazine.

The 23-year-old rapper photographs, not like a once homeless shelter hopping teen, but like a well seasoned model with some very prominent rough patches around his edges. It all adds to the panache of his rapper swag.

In the interview, A$AP Rocky tells the mag: "I've been into fashion since birth. I grew up in the ’hood, and everybody in the ’hood wants to compensate for being in poverty, so they want to look good."
