If we are judging by the runway trends shown by Mara Hoffman, then next summer is going to be desert hot, and we mean that in the sexiest way possible.

Yesterday, designer Mara Hoffman debuted her Swim 2013 collection to the suitable boom of M.I.A's "Bad Girls." The designer pegged the inspiration for the line as "Desert Outlaw Gypsies" and kept true to the desert theme with smoky eyes, heavy beaded details, and Cleopatra-inspired jewels. 

Angela Simmons, known for flaunting her bikini body on the beaches of Miami, was in attendance to check out the runway fashions.

As for the swimsuits themselves, they featured heavy Aztec prints, flowy fabrics, laser cut-out details and most of all, the perfect solutions of cover-ups that can go from beach party to beach front dinner.
