Anne Hathaway is gearing up for some worldwind promotion for her role in what is undoubtedly going to be one of the biggest movies released this year!

The Dark Knight Rises is the latest installment of the Batman saga and Anne Hathaway will be playing an updated version of one of our favorite super villainesses: Catwoman.

For the July 2012 issue of GQ Spain, Anne Hathaway looks purr-fect in all black and leather for her Catwoman-inspired photo shoot. 

The accompanying article featured director Luis San Narciso, who seems quite confident with the selection of the Oscar nominated actress, saying:

"Anne has a traditional yet different extent, which can bring a touch of sensuality and tenderness."

Meanwhile, David Lopez, one of the main animators of the feline thief for DC Comics, is uncertain about how things will go, as he says:

"She is a great actress, although the challenge of living up to Michelle Pfeiffer is complicated."

Indeed it is, Michelle Pfeiffer is a tough act to follow, but we are sure that Anne will do just fine!

Look out for her in The Dark Knight Rises on July 20th.
