The BET Honors are held each year to pay tribute to iconic African-Americans.

The annual ceremony took place last night, January 14 at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C.

Hosted by the fabulous Gabrielle Union for the fifth consecutive year, First Lady Michelle Obama took the stage looking classic in red, while the honorees were presented to the audience.

And, of course, it wouldn’t be a BET event without some performances. Willow Smith, Aretha Franklin, and Patti LaBelle took the stage as well as Common, Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrence Howard and Cicely Tyson.

Yeah, so we’ll definitely be tuned in for this one!

The show is set to air on Monday, February 13 at 9PM EST on BET. Don’t miss it!
