The 21st Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards were held in Gotham last night and one of the stand out looks of the evening belonged to actress and philanthropist Charlize Theron!

Charlize looked gorgeous in Gucci as she crossed the red carpet at Cipriani Wall Street to promote her new film Young Adult, about a young lady who’s stuck in an awkward period of her life. Charlize was also on hand to receive a career award.
Incidentally, if you own a PS3 and subscribe to Vudu, Sony’s streaming HD movie service, you can see the film for about six bucks if you don’t feel like trekking to the movie theatre!
Theron’s Spring 2012 Gucci dress takes inspiration from the art deco period of the ’20s and was daringly low cut and flirty.
An Alexander McQueen clutch, a gold necklace and a black headband in her hair completed Theron’s stunning look.
Also noteworthy were the looks worn by Lizzie Olsen and Tilda Swinton.
