Haring was an artist and social activist whose artwork became popular in the '80s because of his positive messages and unique style. Simple ink drawings on paper, in the subway and handball courts were places you would find his work.
Since his untimely passing in 1990 from the the AIDS virus, Haring's work has lived on through everything from paintings, sculptures and murals throughout NYC, to clothing brands that have worked with the Keith Haring Foundation.
