In an effort to keep guns off the streets of Newark with the city’s new gun buy-back program, Booker started up the Caliber Collection, an innovative attempt at keeping guns out of the hands of the wrong people, and on the wrists of the right ones.

Booker appeared on the “The Rachel Maddow Show” and gave the details about his new initiative “The Caliber Collection” that has raised $20,000 for gun buyback programs by melting down weapons recovered by police and sending them to Jewelry For A Cause, a company that takes the liquidated firearms and fashions them into silver and brass adornments valued at up to $375.
