Daphne Guinness Doesn't Think She's A Public Figure (DETAILS)

Notable for her extremely diverse fashion palate, and her tendency to tango with the dangers of design, heiress Daphne Guinness has been a fashion icon for decades.

The platinum-streaked eccentric has recently announced that in addition to her exhibit at FIT, and her collaboration with makeup brand MAC, she is working on a novel. The heiress did not make it immediately clear if the text would be of autobiographical nature, but she did tell the Women’s Wear Daily this:

"Well, it’s not about beetles. It will be about what I’ve observed or imagined. Frankly, I’m not Winston Churchill or another public figure. I don’t think anyone would be particularly interested in my observations."

So there — Ms.Guinness is writing a book, and it isn’t about beetles, or Winston Churchill and she doesn’t think she is a public figure. Oh, the madness!

With her book. Guinness will join the ranks of fashion forwards such as Jimmy Choo and Christian Louboutin who halted their stitching and put pen to paper (or finger to keyboard) to publish books.

And in more bizarre Daphne related news, she once claimed she survives on a diet of Redbull and Ensure and proclaims she can eat when she is dead…(Crickets).

We are not sure if this was the most appropriate play off of the old “sleep when you’re dead” adage, but let us toast a can of Redbull in hopes that Daphne discusses her non-eating in her new book.
