Brands have learned the best way to stay relevant, like with anything else, is to collaborate with someone or something else that is equally relevant or will help them venture into a new field.

This type of thinking can explain why Ludacris would collaborate on "Baby" with Justin Beiber just as much as it would explain Japanese brand NEIGHBORHOOD collaborating with ENO for a collection of surfboards.
