Emily Browning, Rosario Dawson And Vanessa Hudgens Catch Calvin Klein's Indie Spirit At Cannes (PHOTOS)

Day two of the 64th Annual Cannes film festival saw the light shine on independent films.

Rosario Dawson, Vanessa Hudgens and Uma Thurman (this year’s jury member) and a host of other actresses and directors were honored at The Women of Independent Film party thrown by legendary American designer Calvin Klein. Also honored was “Sleeping Beauty" producer Jane Campion.

Dawson, wearing Calvin Klein Collection, told the Associated Press, "I've been acting since I'm 15, doing independent films and now we have all of these women directors who are being nominated and their films are being shown and put across this audience. I think it's fair and that's exciting to see that over all these years."

"Sleeping Beauty" actress Emily Browning was also on hand, donning a sharp black shift dress.
