Always one to promote elegant beautiful womenswear, I wasn't surprised to see Donna Karan's clean lines and beautifully understated hair, makeup and lighting during her Spring 2013 womenswear show yesterday during New York Fashion Week. I wasn't that surprised to see the beautiful clothing, either.

But I noticed something deeply personal in Donna's spring designs. Knowing Donna, I can now see the merging of her spirituality and self, shining off the looks that walked the runway.

The "urban zen" has slipped all the way in and that unique twist makes Donna's already special touch younger and more vibrant. The world of fashion could use some more zen.
