Any fan of hip-hop music from the ’90s (or today) knows and appreciated the late great Christopher Wallace.

Also known as the Notorious B.I.G., his music will be loved for years to come. Unfortunately he was taken from us on this day 15 years ago and his fans, old and new, miss him terribly. So much so, that his style in both hip-hop and fashion seem to still live on.

So since we are spending the day looking back on the influence that Biggie had on us, we can’t forget his wardrobe. If there is one thing that we all remember Big for, it was his love for Coogi sweaters and Versace shades and silk shirts.

Donatella Versace even went on record about her admiration for him. In an interview with Fader she said:

I think Biggie was amazing. He came to my shows in Paris many times, and we’d see each other often. He always used to talk so nicely about my family. I think he was so smart, so intelligent. He had such a mind. So I loved what he was doing and how he was giving people a way to know about Versace—I do think he was giving people a way to know about Versace—I do think a lot of people started to know about Versace because of him.

Versace and Coogi sweaters will forever be synonymous with the Notorious B.I.G., and his image has been used to sell everything from vintage Versace frames to Supreme t-shirts.
